THE IRISH RACEHORSE RETIREMENT FUND
Irish Racehorse Retirement Fund (IRRF) – Irish horse racing’s charity for the welfare of retired racehorses.
The Irish Racehorse Retirement Fund raises funds to help support the re-training and re-homing of former racehorses and to promote their versatility for other equestrian disciplines and pursuits. Our aim is to be be instrumental in making the transition from racing to a new discipline as seamless as possible for each horse based on their individual needs.
Given the substantial number of racehorses that are retired from racing in Ireland, or come out of training having not reached the track each year, funding and specialist support are needed to give as many of them as possible the opportunity to be trained for a change in career.
The mission of the Irish Racehorse Retirement Fund is to provide this funding and highly trained support to achieve these goals to the highest possible standard.
